Wednesday May 26, 2021
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Brenden Fairbairn tells the story of how he became aware of the terrors of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Fairbairn paints a picture of the realities for most college students and their struggles to follow the strict guidelines of the CDC during the 2020 Pandemic. From missing bar hops to breaking-free into a completely different scene of social distancing and eventually, contracting the deadly virus himself. Fairbairn sees the terror set in and the realities of the sickly virus became all too real. Fairbairn tells his story with a call to action as he demands the seriousness of the situation and the careless acts he took beforehand. All in all, like most college students, Brenden was not a part of the minority as this story reigns true for many young adults who experienced the 2020 Pandemic in their 20s.

When Fear of Missing Out Is Finally Gone by Hannah Copeland
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
Wednesday Dec 02, 2020
Instructor Hannah Copeland devised a project that her students could completed at home with nothing more than a phone recording app and a DAW. The mission was to tell story about a moment during the pandemic that was meaningful to them in the form of a three to five-minute podcast. Copeland completed her own assignment as an example to test it's viability for the already stressed-out remote students. She told the story of when FoMo (Fear Of Missing Out) left her mind for the first time in a decade. Copeland uses at home foley, FirstCom Audio, and some skilled editing to make her DIY phone recorder sound professional.
