Podcaster Paul Dotts discusses how fear of missing out and peer pressure pushed him to go to a Halloween party in 2020. Knowing that the risk of contracting COVID-19 was high, Dotts attended the party, and he also paid the consequences. From having to cover all his food in hot sauce to try and get his taste back, to quarantining to not risk infecting his roommates, he started to wonder: Was the party really worth it?

 The tedium of quarantine was nearly inescapable. Fortunately, Ellison Hubbard and his two roommates took advantage of the slower pace of life with a simple activity that offered some distance between them and the pandemic: long walks.
